Personal Property tax is an annual tax charged by the California County where your business resides.  It is a an annual tax on items that you you use in your business like desks, computers, file cabinets, etc.  You pay sales tax when you purchase them but this is not enough for your government...  Your government wants much more...this TAX IS LIKE PAYING SALES TAX EVERY YEAR ON THE SAME ITEMS.  Who makes up this stuff and why do we allow it to continue?  Multiple taxation without representation is NOT the foundation of our country.  Just another straw on the small business persons back...
